The Vice Chancellor of the University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD) has indicated that, Donkorkrom would be hosting the School of Agriculture And Entrepreneurship Development of the University.
Speaking duria visit to Donkorkrom on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, he indicated that, looking at the Afram Plains area, it would be very beneficiary to them to host the School of Agriculture and Entrepreneurship Development.

He further indicated that, the campus has not be taken from Donkorkrom as had been rumoured.
“It has not been taken from Donkorkrom. It has been stipulated in our documents and no one can take it away from Donkorkrom. The campus would come just as expected”.
He further added that, he has been rightly informed that, land had been allocated for the campus but there weren’t any official document to confirm that hence the necessary steps are being taken to get the documents done.

On employment, the Vice Chancellor indicated that, when the need arises for employment into the teaching and non teaching staff of the campus, qualified indigenes of the Kwahu Afram Plains would be considered.
The University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD) has it’s main campus at Somanya and expected to have a satellite campus at Donkorkrom in the Kwahu Afram Plains North District.
