Hon. Alan John Kwadwo Kyeremanteng has indicated that, the current state of the NPP has a very little resemblance of the party that he joined in 1992.
Alan Kyeremanteng made this known at a press conference, organised on September 25, 2023 to declare his decision to contest for the 2024 Presidential Election as an independent candidate.
Hon. Alan Kyeremanteng believes the NPP Party has been hijacked by a selected group of party leaders and elders, government appointees, “behind the curtain power brokers” and some unscrupulous party apparatchiks.
Hon. Alan John Kwadwo Kyeremanteng, affectionately known as Alan Cash was one of the five elected flag bearer aspirants of the NPP Party after it’s super delegates conference on August 26, 2023.
However, on September 6, 2023, Alan Cash issued a press statement, declaring his intention to exit the process leading to the Presidential Primaries, citing intimidation and monetization among others as his reason.
The leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has urged it’s membership to remain calm as the party prepares to response to Alan’s resignation from the party at 2:00pm on Tuesday, September 26, 2023.
