The bodies have subsequently been taken to the morgue of the Presbyterian Hospital, Donkorkrom whiles the Kwahu Afram Plains South District Command of the Ghana Police Service commences investigation into the cause of death of the two herdsmen.
Speaking with a session of the citizens, they indicated that, there is a huge fear among them, considering the fact that, such an incident has never been recorded in the area.
“This is possible the first time something like this is happening. We are even scared of visiting our farms because we don’t know what these Fulani Herdsmen will be planning as a way of revenge over the death of their brothers” some citizens indicated.
According to Mr. Nkansah, the Assembly Member of the Area, he has pleaded with the District Chief Executive and the Police to have an engagement with the Fulani community.
According to him, the engagement is to help calm the Fulanis and urge them to exercise patience whiles the police conduct investigation into the entire incident.
Mr. Nkansah believes that, the perpetrators couldn’t possibly be people from the area, considering the peaceful nature they have coexisted with the Fulanis in the area. He further indicated that, there is no known misunderstanding between the deceaseds and any citizens within the area.
The District Chief Executive, together with members of the District Security Council (DISEC) were earlier today, Friday, May 24, 2024 at the scene to speak with the community.
