Full Text: Welcome Address By Nana Bampo Tettey III

Nana Bampo Tettey III, Chief of Kwaekese in the Kwahu Afram Plains North District welcomed H.E John Mahama into the Constituency during his campaign tour.

H.E John Mahama was in the Constituency on Thursday, November 21, 2024, to sell his policies for the Constituency to the people.

In his welcome address, Nana Bampo Tettey III appreciated the NDC for their support for the Constituency, citing the provision of electricity, construction of Girl’s Dormitory at DASS, provision of ferry among others.

He went further to request for the establishment of a Nursing Training College, to be attached to the Donkorkrom Presbyterian Hospital, to aid in the training of health professionals.

He again requested for the conversion of the E-Block at Mem-Chemfre into a College of Education, to address the challenge of teacher deficit in the District.

In response to the requests of Nana Bampo Tettey III, H.E John Mahama promised to build more infrastructure to help transform the E-Block into a College of Education. He also pledged to work towards the establishment of the Nursing Training College and an Agric University in the District.

H.E John Mahama among other things, also promised to fix roads in the Kwahu Afram Plains North District, provide residents of the Digya and Dwarf Islands with Solar Lightening Systems, ensure the operationalization of the ferry on the Agordeke-Kpando stretch of the Volta Lake.

John Mahama further promised to establish Agric Processing Centres, promote and support irrigation farming and provide Agriculture Service Centers in the District to help promote farming.

H.E John Mahama, as part of his message, urged the supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), to vote for the preferred Parliamentary Candidate of the Party, Hon. Betty Krosby Mensah, in the Constituency and no other.
