The Ghana Investmemt Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC) has donated sets of computers and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) to the St. Michael R/C JHS at Donkorkrom.
The donation, which was as a request by Nana Isaac Okoree (NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Afram Plains North Constituency, 2020) was as a way of improving ICT education in the school.
In an interview with aframplainsstories, Nana Koree made it known that, education has been one of his priorities in his quest of becoming the Member of Parliament for Afram Plains North and that, despite loosing, he won’t relent until his aim is achieved.
“You know me very well. We have had series of conversation and in all, I made it known that, education is my priority. Even though I wasn’t able to emerge winner, I am and will still do all it takes to provide quality education for the people of Afram Plains” he said.
According to him, other sets of computers will also follow soon for other Junior High Schools within the District.
Doing the presentation on his behalf, the First Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party in the Constituency urged the students and staff of the school to take advantage of the items and improve upon their academic performance.
