DONKOKROM GNFS COLLABORATES WITH FORESTRY COMMISSION TO SENSITIZE FARMERS ON BUSHFIRE PREVENTION AND CONTROL
In order to curb the high rate of bushfires in the Kwahu Afram Plains North and South Districts, the Donkokrom District Fire Command led by DO III Dominic Agyapong and his team collaborated with Officials of the Donkokrom Forestry Commission to sensitize Farmer groups at Faso and Asikasu no.2 villages on the dangers and prevention of bushfires.
The team used the opportunity to revamp the dormant Fire Volunteers in the two (2) farming communities visited and implored them to be active to safeguard the natural environment from the ravages of bushfires in the area.
