Betty Retain Afram Plains North Seat

Betty Krosby Mensah, the Member of Parliament for Afram Plains North Constituency in the Eastern Region has retain her seat after the December 7 General Election.

Contesting for the her second term in Parliament against Nana Isaac Ofori Koree and Ferguson Asare of NPP and NDP respectively, Betty polled a total of 18, 543 out of a total valid vote of 27, 343.

The Member of Parliament contested with Isaac Ofori Koree and won in the 2016 General Election. She has since then being the Member of Parliament and had gotten re-elected to represent the Constituency in Parliament for the next four years.

Addressing the media at her residence, the Member of Parliament made it known that, NDC is the only political party that has the people of Afram Plains at heart.

The MP had 18, 543, an increase of 422 of her total vote of 18, 121 in the 2016 Parliamentary Elections.

Below is the result as declared by the Electoral Commission.

NPP (Nana Isaac Ofori Koree) - 8605
NDC (Betty Krosby Mensah) - 18,543
NDP (Ferguson Asare) - 195
Rejected Ballots - 545
Valid Votes - 27, 343
Total Vote Cast - 27, 888
