It was all glitz and glamour at the just ended Birdman Peace Walk held at Donkorkrom.
The program saw youth from the two major political parties (NPP and NDC) attending in their numbers.
The Peace Walk, organised and sponsored by Birdman Ventures was aimed at uniting the Youth front in Afram Plains North Constituency ahead of the December 7 General Election.
The program was also used to educate the youth on what is expected of them of them before, during and after the general election.
Personnels from the security services in the District (Police, Customs, Fire Service among others) were present to make sure all went well as expected.
Speaking with the CEO of Birdman Ventures, Sharif Fuseini Mohammed, he made it known that, his aim was to promote peace and that has been achieved.
“As the election draws closer, we need to make the youth understand that the future lies in their hands. Decisions they take today will have impact on them in the near future. The aim for the day was to preach peace and that has been achieved. We will evaluate the impact of today’s event to help us plan bigger next time” he said.
The event was held in partnership with Milasco Sounds, DPM Records, 9Trax Recording Studios and Afram Plains Stories.
