ACQUIESCENCES - A Poem By Emmanuel Denyo And Elorm Wrights

ACQUIESCENCES

Imagine.
Just imagine!
A malicious designated arrow has delivered a life.
Can you envision it?

For a purpose, two eyes are forged.
Imagine they see beyond the threshold.
Such is the mania of late.

Yes! Of late.
Of late guns salute innocent citizens with life slugs
Of late in a dark room
Legislature groan for consensus and strength
Tardily the custodians pay no attention to the pleads of the downtrodden

Of late riches isn’t buying food
Of late money is a chief whip policing dirty mouths.
Can you think up?
But you are a Ghanaian

The town forerunner used to broadcast the truth until his upgrade
In case understanding is lost, you can ask the press.

Action de suborner!
The state has lost its dignity.
Negativity has expended every bit of positivity retained
Despite all resolutions to maintain peace, brutality is now the state of affairs
Bedlam is been cultured at the asylums of late.

Comfort is now restricted by wealth leaving the poor worthless
Respect isn’t earned anymore but purchased.
Unlike those days, the Charter has turned a scribbled with time
Citizens on the fence unconcerned like spectators.

Racialism has become an aptitude query of late.
Bribery and corruption now a gateway to success.

Of late swindling is the most distinguished source of lucre.
Chronologically humanity is being taken for granted.

We are almost at the worst.
For the mind plan positive
The hand executes otherwise.
Perhaps it’s a world full of life unexpected maxima.
