6 people are said to have died on the River Afram, following the capsizing of a boat conveying them to Fosu in the Kwahu Afram Plains South District.
According to report, the 6, who are all females were to help on a farm located at Borga Akura in the Kwahu Afram Plains South District.
The incident is said to have happened on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at around 7:00pm.
The report further indicated that, the boat had earlier conveyed 2 of the workers together with their belongings and was on its way to convey the second batch of the workers before the incident.
Two, out of the dead bodies were retrieved on the Wednesday whiles three out of the remaining four were retrieved on Thursday morning.
The five bodies have been handed over to the Ghana Police Service, Kwahu Afram Plains South Division, whiles the search for the remaining one continues.
The 6 women were being conveyed to assist on a farm, belonging to one borga who is currently out of the country.
