Joseph Appiah Boateng has won the Parliamentary Elections in the Kwahu Afram Plains South Constituency.

JAB1, as he has been affectionately known by the electorates, won over Willie Hor of the NPP.

Joseph Appiah was the Member of Parliament for the Kwahu Afram Plains South Constituency from 2012 to 2016 and had to withdrawn from the race for the 2016 Elections due to some legal issues raised against him.

JAB1 came back into the scene to contest against the incumbent Member of Parliament for the Constituency, Eric Osei-Wusu and Mark Oliver Kevor in the NDC Parliamentary Primaries and eventually won.

He won Willie Hor with a margin of 8,946 votes after pulling a total vote of 18,246 as against 9,300 of Willie Hor.

Joseph Appiah Boateng has been able to increase the total vote of the NDC in the Constituency by 6, 767 by pulling a total vote of 18, 246 as against 11, 479 in 2016.

John Dramani Mahama also had a total vote of 18, 666 as against 7,639 for Nana Addo in the Constituency.

This is an increase of 4,778 as compared to the total vote of the NDC in the Constituency in 2016.

We congratulate Joseph Appiah Boateng on his win and hope he delivers to the electorate as he promised.
